The P-element in the mutant d05625 (FBti0042830) is inserted in a copy of the transposable element Opus. The sequences flanking the P-element on both ends align with the consensus sequence for Opus. The 5' flank (GenBank accession CZ474635) extends beyond the Opus element and has a unique sequence segment, which can be used to map the insertion.
