Sequence recovery method was plasmid rescue of sequence of 3' of P{lacW}, and the sequencing primer was Spep1. Sequence orientation is forward strand relative to 3' end of P element. The P element insertion position is base 4 in the 377 bases. This insertion position refers to the first base of the 8 base target recognition sequence. The sequence:
