The following information accompanied material donated to the Drosophila Genomics Resource Center by Elane Fishilevich (University of Pittsburgh). "The stable pHMA line that we have is based on S2R+ cells from DGRC. They were co-transfected with Ubi-pHMA and alpha-amanitin resistance plasmid and selected with alpha-amanitin. We've been growing these for about two years now. They can be treated as S2/S2R+ cells. They are slightly less adherent than S2R+, probably closer to S2."
