The following information accompanied a stock donated to the Bloomington Stock Center by Alyssa Manning and Stephen Rogers, University of North Carolina.
Df(1)YO17 was generated by imprecise excision of P{EPgy2}mthl1EY16157.  It extends from 14F2,  X:16522115  (R5) to the the P{EPgy2}mthl1EY16157 insertion site at 14F4,  X:16535030  (R5).  A portion of the P construct from base pair 6624 to the 3' P end remains associated with the deletion.  Heterozygous females show a Minute phenotype from deletion of RpS19a and do not eclose well at 18 degrees.  The deletion breakpoint creates mthl1YO17 with the synonym mistYO17.
