In crosses made here at the Bloomington Stock Center, I showed that P{PZ}dbf¹ failed to complement Df(2L)BSC211, but complemented Df(2L)BSC210 for male sterility. This maps the male sterility to the four-gene CG17098 to CG31871 interval, the same region that contains the P{PZ}dbf¹ insertion.
