The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Stock Center by Leonie Quinn, University of Melbourne.
The following constructs express sequences encoded by the first exon of human HTT with a C-terminal Emerald or Cerulean fluorescent protein tag. The number of glutamine residues encoded by the CAG/polyQ track in the HTT sequence is noted. Proteins encoding 46, 72 or 96 glutamine residues are associated with pathogenic effects.
