We received a stock from Tom Cline of UC Berkeley carrying an insertion of P{Sxl.alt5-C8}, but the insertion had not been mapped to a chromosome. Crosses here in Bloomington with second and third chromosome balancers showed that the miniwhite transgene marker segregated from CyO, but assorted independently of TM3 and CxD, indicating that the insertion sits on chromosome 2. We will list the insertion as P{Sxl.alt5-C8}2 in the stock genotype.
