The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Stock Center by Louis J. Ptacek and Ying-Hui Fu, University of California, San Francisco.
P{UAS-BHLHE41.WT.Myc-His} is a construct expressing the wild-type human BHLHE41 (DEC2) protein under UAS control.  The protein is tagged with Myc and His.
P{UAS-BHLHE41.P384R.Myc-His} is a construct expressing human BHLHE41 (DEC2) protein carrying the P384R mutation (a mutation found in a family with familial natural short sleep) under UAS control.  The protein is tagged with Myc and His.
Flies over-expressing P{UAS-BHLHE41.P384R.Myc-His} have a shortened sleep cycle.
P{UAS-BHLHE41.WT.Myc-His}1 is a homozygous viable insertion on the second chromosome.
P{UAS-BHLHE41.WT.Myc-His}3 is a homozygous viable insertion on the third chromosome.
