Nse1X1 and Nse1X2 were generated by imprecise excision of P{lacW}Nse1k00605a after separating this insertion from the linked l(2)k00605bk00605b mutation present on the original P insertion chromosome. Homozygotes are viable and fertile, but caffeine sensitive like mutants for other components of the Smc5/6 complex.
