The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center by Joshua Mast and Nina DiPrimio, Perlara PBC. CG3376R571L - CRISPR/Cas9-mediated homologous dependent repair was used to make amino acid change R571L in CG3376. This change was designed to mimic the R498L change found in human SMPD1 in patients with Niemann-Pick disease. The R571L change was put in along with a 3xP3-RFP marker flanked by PBac ends that was then removed via PBac transposition. Transposition left behind a TTAA which changes CTGAAC to CTTAAC in the coding region but doesn't change the amino acid sequence.
