The insertion in the MI02330 line (Bloomington stock 33205) contains a number of changes compared to the wild-type MiMIC element.
A ~3kb region of the distal end of the MI02330 insertion was sequenced and the following changes were identified:
- A fragment containing the EGFP reporter is inverted compared to a wildtype MiMIC.
- At either end of the inverted fragment, there is a 18 bp duplication. The duplication between the yellow marker and EGFP is interspersed with 7 bp that are not part of the duplication.
- A 472 bp fragment at the 5â   end of MiMIC is missing (including the minos 5â   repeat and the attP site).
