The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Stock Center by Thomas Vaccari and Simona Polo, Universita degli Studi di Milano.
The work described in Fajner et al. (http://flybase.org/reports/FBrf0251317) resulted in several M{UAS-RFP.Hecw} insertions into the M{3xP3-RFP.attP}ZH-86Fb target site. Most resulted in mild GAL4-induced expression (denoted M{UAS-RFP.Hecw}ZH-86Fb), but one particular insertion resulted in strong expression-perhaps due to target site damage upon insertion. To distinguish this more strongly expressed insertion, we will use the symbol M{UAS-RFP.Hecw}M2.
