P{SMC1-Rad21.EGFP} is a construct made with a modified pCaSper4 vector expressing vtd (Rad21) protein with a C-terminal EGFP tag under the control of SMC1 regulatory sequences, which results in lower expression levels favoring detection of chromosome-associated signals compared to P{alphaTub84B-Rad21-EGFP} (FBtp0096060) of Urban et al. (2014; FBrf0225848).
P{SMC1-Rad21.EGFP}II.1 is a homozygous viable and fertile, second chromosome insertion.
P{SMC1-Rad21.EGFP}III.1 is a homozygous viable and fertile, third chromosome insertion.
