The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center by Gary Teeters, University of Virginia.
P{UAS-NTR(3xmut).3xEmGFP} - UAS sequences drive expression of E. coli nitroreductase (NTR) fused at the N-terminus to three copies of Emerald GFP. NTR carries amino acid changes T41Q, N71S and F124T to increase activity. It induces caspase-dependent cell death in the presence of the drug Ronidazole by converting Ronidazole to a toxic chemical. For more information, see Teeters et al., 2025, Dev. Biol. 520: 31--40 (FBrf0261641).
P{UAS-NTR(3xmut).3xEmGFP}2 is an insertion on the second chromosome.
P{UAS-NTR(3xmut).3xEmGFP}3 is an insertion on the third chromosome.
