The Ir52bLexA line described in Luo et al., 2024, Curr. Biol. 34(23): 5395--5408.e6 (FBrf0261101) was generated using the CRISPR/Cas9 technique, starting with a strain in which complete copies of both Ir52b and Ir52e were originally present. The complete coding sequences of Ir52b and Ir52e as well as the untranslated sequence between the two genes has been deleted in Ir52bLexA (deletion extends from the first codon of Ir52b to the stop codon of Ir52e). Sequence encoding the lexA::p65 driver and a 3XP3-DsRed marker has been inserted in place of the deleted sequence.
