T(2;3)AM1 and T(2;3)A1-W are the same thing:
1. FB lists In(3LR)Ubx130, In(2R)Cy, and In(2L)Cy as progenitors for both.
2. These four papers--Wallace 1966 (FBrf0018258), Wallace et al 1966 (FBrf0017412), Thompson 1977 (FBrf0030124) and Thomas 1983 (FBrf0039094) used a T(2;3) Cy L-Ubx line from Wallace (aka "A1"). FB lists both T(2;3)AM1 and T(2;3)A1-W for all four papers. They both match the description for the Cy L-Ubx line (and no other lines used in the papers).
3, "AM1" is a balancer (FBba0000073). Lindsley & Zimm (p. 1075) says the constitution is "T(2;3)A1, Cy L Ubx130. Reciprocal translocation between balancers In(2L+2R)Cy and TM2". We suspect someone made T(2;3)AM1 as the parent for AM1, not realizing that T(2;3)A1-W was the same thing.
BDSC has T(2;3)A1-W in a stock and have never had T(2;3)AM1 or AM1 in a stock, so we would prefer that we keep T(2;3)A1-W and that T(2;3)AM1 becomes a synonym for T(2;3)A1-W.
Also, we think the translocation breakpoints for T(2;3)A1-W must be 32:68 , not 22:68
Cytological order for A1 from FBrf0017412 :
2Lt - 22 | 33 - 32 | 68 - 61 | 74 - 89 | 93 - 96 | 61 - 3Lt;
3Rt - 96 | 93 - 89 | 74 - 68 | 32 - 22 | 33 - 42 | 58 - 42 | 58 - 2Rt
If you use the more specific cytology from In(2L)Cy, In(2R)Cy, and TM2, you get this as the cytological order:
2Lt - 22D1 | 33F5 - 32 | 68 - 61C | 74 - 89D | 93B - 96B | 61A - 3Lt;
3Rt - 96A | 93B - 89E | 74 - 68 | 32 - 22D2 | 34A1 - 42A2 | 58A4 - 42A3 | 58B1 - 2Rt
