Dsub\SGM sequences are composed of sequence modules. Two of the modules share high sequence similarity with two of the modules of the Dsub\GEM element described in FBrf0108054; the long sequence module (LS) and the inverted repeat (IR). The Dsub\SGM section spacing the LS- and IR-homologous modules shares no significant similarity with any Dsub\GEM module and is designated the middle module (MM).
