mScarlet3 is a cysteine-free monomeric red fluorescent protein with an excitation peak of 569nm and an emission peak of 592nm in vitro. It is an artificial fluorescent protein, derived by targeted mutagenesis of mScarlet. mScarlet3 shows fast and complete maturation and has high brightness, quantum yield and fluorescence lifetime (PMID:36973546).
