Description

Transgenic construct used to study insulator function. Contains the y transcription unit, including the wing and body enhancers. A genomic D. melanogaster fragment ('y-454') which contains two su(Hw) protein binding sites and a putative matrix attachment region has been inserted between the wing and body enhancers and the y promoter.
