Description

A 90bp subfragment from the 5' region of the Dgnu\y gene which is orthologous to the "spot" cis-regulatory element of the Dbii\y gene drives expression of a reporter gene. 10 nucleotides of the Dgnu\y regulatory sequences have been replaced by the nucleotides found in the orthologous region of the Dele\y gene.
