Description

Transgenic construct used to study the properties of the Abd-B promoter tethering element (PTE). Encodes two divergently transcribed reporters; Tn9CAT driven by a a minimal Abd-B promoter fragment, with a 255bp fragment encoding the Abd-B PTE inserted upstream of the Abd-B promoter, and lacZ driven by the abd-A promoter. The Fab-8 insulator has been inserted in between the two divergent promoters. The IAB5 enhancer has been inserted downstream of the lacZ reporter.
