UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a short form of Sdc lacking exon 5. The construct contains 72 silent mutations in the 375bp region that is targeted by P{UAS-Sdc.RNAi.S}, to prevent RNAi silencing by this construct (RNAi Escape Strategy Construct (RESC) method).
