Description

The 5' portion of the trp gene that contains the first intron (834bp) is ligated tail-to-tail with the corresponding 5' portion of trp cDNA (826bp). The native upstream regulatory region of the trp gene is placed at the two ends of the RNAi construct in opposite orientations so that transcription can start from both ends.
