Description and Uses
Description

Transgenic construct used as a control in a study of putative Polycomb Group response element (PRE) sequences. Contains a reporter in which the Ubx bx(I)b fragment of the bx embryonic enhancer and the Ubx 2212H1 imaginal disc enhancer are fused upstream of a Ubx promoter, followed by the lacZ coding region. An empty FRT cassette is also present, upstream of the Ubx regulatory sequences, and a w+mC marker is present downstream of the lacZ reporter.
