Description

Transgenic construct used in an enhancer blocking assay. Contains a y reporter that includes the upstream y wing and body enhancers plus the y transcription unit (which contains the downstream bristle enhancer). An FRT cassette containing an insulator protein binding site (a 680bp gypsy\su(Hw)BR fragment) is present between the upstream enhancers and the y transcription start site.
