Description

Transgenic construct used to study the mechanisms by which transposable elements can affect expression of host genes. An FRT cassette containing the 5'UTR of the ZAM element is fused upstream of the w+mC marker. The 5'UTR is oriented in the same direction as the direction of w transcription.
