Description

Transgenic construct used to study the mechanisms by which transposable elements can affect expression of host genes. Consists of the 5'UTR of the ZAM element, an FRT cassette containing the 5'UTR of the Idefix element and then w+mC. The Idefix 5'UTR is oriented in the opposite direction to the direction of w transcription.
