Description

A heat-shock promoter governs expression of a kni mutant encoding amino acids 1-330 but lacking the eh1-like motif at residues 85-91 (abolished by converting the 4 hydrophobic amino acids to alanines). This protein shows relatively weaker binding to the gro protein.
