Description

A tubulin promoter drives expression of Drosophila codon-optimised GAL80 followed by the woodchuck hepatitis virus post-transcriptional regulatory element (WPRE) in the 3' UTR. The GAL80 open reading frame (ORF) is surrounded by KDRT sites, such that excision using KDR recombinase removes the ORF.
