UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a polycistronic cDNA encoding both the hemo and CG43210 open reading frames. Frameshift mutations have been introduced into both open reading frames (CG insertion 3 codons after the ATG codon in hemo, GC insertion just after the ATG codon in CG43210).
