Reference

E(spl)m3-HLH is expressed in the notum at 2.5 hr APF in cells flanking the Dl stripes. It is one of two "early onset" E(spl)-HLH factors. At 7-8 hr APF it is detected on the sides of proneural stripes 1,3, and 5. It only accumulates in cells with low ac, which are on the sides of the proneural stripes.
