Description

UASt regulates expression of a Delta-rhodopsin (Htur\dR) cDNA, fused to Tag:Mito(Unk) to target it to the mitochondrion, and tagged with Tag:MYC. The Htur\dR sequence carries the mutations D104N and K225A, resulting in loss of retinal-binding activity and therefore lacking light-dependent proton pump activity.
