A synthetic fragment composed of 4 CATAC (clock-associated transcriptional activation cassette) motifs from the Pdp1 gene region, in which the four E-boxes have been mutated so that they match those found in the Slob CATAC motifs, is fused upstream of a Hsp70 basal promoter followed by pLUC.
