The sog shadow (distal) enhancer (in which the three canonical zld protein-binding sites have been mutated) and an eve minimal promoter are fused upstream of 24 copies of the Tag:MS2 stem loop (mutated so that they do not contain zld protein binding sites) followed by the lacZ sequence.
