Description

UASt regulatory sequences are fused upstream of the open reading frame of the unspliced form of Xbp1 (this contains the stress-specific intron-2). The open reading frame is tagged at the N-terminal end with Tag:MYC. A GFP tag has been inserted at the C-terminal end of the open reading frame, such that it is only in the reading frame of Xbp1 when the intron-2 sequence is spliced out by Ire1; this splicing occurs under conditions of ER stress.
