Description

UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of the Rnor\Kif5b motor domain (amino acids 1-430) that is tagged at the C-terminal end (via a linker) with Tag:MYC and with the trans-Golgi binding domain from the Homo sapiens GOLGA1 ('Golgin-97') gene (HGNC:4424). The encoded protein is able to pull the Golgi to microtubule plus ends, and out of the dendrites, when expressed in neurons (as assayed by localization of a trans-Golgi marker).
