20xUAS sequences regulate expression of a fusion protein in which a synthetic DNA-binding domain (composed of TALE repeats) that targets the minimal autoregulatory sequence (MAS) of eve (located approximately 5kb upstream of the eve promoter) is fused to the hry repression domain.
