UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of 'DIPF', a sensor that can be used to assay dome activation. It consists of dome coding sequence fused to conformation-sensitive circularly permutated yellow fluorescent protein (cpYFP) and Fkbp12 (this binds dome in its inactive unphosphorylated state). Activation of dome by ligand binding results in phosphorylation which displaces the FKBP12 motif, allowing cpYFP to adopt a fluorescent conformation.
