transmission electron microscopy |
ID (Ontology) |

| Definition |
During the treatment for microscope analysis a tissue section is incubated with high-specificity antibodies coupled to heavy metals (gold). Any tissue section can then be analysed by electron microscopy to localise the target proteins within the cell. This method supports very high resolution colocalisation of different molecules in a cell.[ PubMed:14755292 ] |
