What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release.
It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other
FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled
vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

| Nature of the lesion | Statement Reference Construct: Coding region for CrebB-17A is corrected to wild type sequence by replacement of first 139bp of the mutated CrebB-17A cassette in CrebB-17Amut.Scer\UAS with wild type sequences from the CrebB-17A isoform b. Expression is governed by Scer\UAS regulatory sequences. | ||

Detailed Description
| |||
Statement Reference Overexpression of CrebB-17A[cor.Scer\UAS] driven by Scer\GAL4[elav.PLu] causes a mild, but significant, increase in synaptic bouton numbers at larval neuromuscular junctions. Heat shock induced expression of CrebB-17Acor.Scer\UAS causes a slow lethality. Four days after 30 min heat shock at 37oC over 50% of the flies were dead, with lethality reaching 99% by day 7. Without heat shock, though in combination Scer\GAL4hs.PB with which nevertheless increases expression of CrebB-17Acor.Scer\UAS, the positive effect of 5x spaced training in the olfactory classical conditioning LTM assay (tested at 4 days) is abolished. Thus expression depresses learning in this assay.

Genetic Interactions
| |||
Statement Reference Overexpression of CrebB-17A[cor.Scer\UAS] under the control of Scer\GAL4[elav.PLu] in a Df(1)Exel9051/Y genetic background results in a mild neuromuscular junction (NMJ) overgrowth phenotype.
