Adulthood-only expression of NdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 (using Gal80[ts] for the temporal control of expression) leads to abnormal intestinal stem cell-like and enteroendocrine cell-like tumors in the adult midgut.

The expression of NdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 leads to third instar larval wing discs exhibiting increased number of supraalar neurons, as compared to controls.

Expression of NdsRNA.UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS (in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to overcome embryonic and larval lethality) in spiracular branch (SB) growth zones 1 and 2, leads to a reduction of number of SB tracheoblasts.

Expression of NdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4repo-M1B enhances the Nl1N-ts1 early axon phenotype.

Adult posterior midgut clones specifically generated in esg-positive progenitors (ISCs and EBs), and which both express NdsRNA.UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4esg.PU and are DroncKO.-FRT.SunTag(Unk),Tag:HA,mCherry/DroncKO transheterozygous show increased proportion of progenitors.

The abnormal adult midgut enteroendocrine cell-like tumors, but not the intestinal stem cell-like tumors, resulting from the expression of NdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 (using Gal80[ts] for the temporal control of expression) are suppressed by the co-expression of phylGD12579.
