Scer\GAL4GMR.PU-mediated expression of Mcm10dsRNA.Scer\UAS.633-700 results in a rough eye, reduced ommatidial number, and an overall smaller eye.

Third instar eye discs expressing Mcm10dsRNA.Scer\UAS.633-700 via Scer\GAL4GMR.PU show a wider than normal zone of S phase cells, indicating more cells are delayed in S phase, and a more diffuse area and increased number of mitotic cells, indicating delayed M phase entry and progression.

Scer\GAL4GMR.PU-mediated expression of Mcm10dsRNA.Scer\UAS.633-700 results in more phospho-H2AvD positive cells in the posterior region of eye discs, indicating DNA damage.

Scer\GAL4GMR.PU-mediated expression of Mcm10dsRNA.Scer\UAS.633-700 results in a significant increase in cell death signals in the region posterior to the morphogenetic furrow.

Scer\GAL4GMR.PU-mediated expression of Mcm10dsRNA.Scer\UAS.633-700 specifically inhibits the differentiation of R7 photoreceptor cells.
