Comments

The tandem duplication in Dsim\Dp(1;1)SR6 appears to contain a complete copy of Dsim\Trf2 on its distal side, since a hybridisation signal is seen on polytene chromosomes using a probe homologous to the noncoding region adjacent to the 5' end of Dsim\Trf2. At its proximal end, the duplication appears to end close to the 5' end of Dsim\org-1, as no hybridisation signal is seen on polytene chromosomes using a probe spanning the noncoding region adjacent to the 5' end and start of exon 1 of Dsim\org-1, while a hybridisation signal is seen using a probe that straddles Dsim\org-1 exon 1 and intron 1.

Affected Genes Inferred by Location (0)
If no genes are listed here, it may be because the affected region is very large. The JBrowse insert above may show an error for the same reason, and other FlyBase tools such as CytoSearch may also fail for large regions. You can contact FlyBase for more help.
In these cases, there will be no "Export to Hitlist" button to the left.

The sex-ratio "XSR6" chromosome of D.simulans contains two interacting elements, both of which are required for meiotic drive. One of the interacting regions has been tracked to the tandem duplication (Dsim\Dp(1;1)SR6) that the "XSR6" chromosome carries.
