Comments

Two-part deletion resulting from the imprecise excision of P{XP}crold03228. One part is 6119bp and extends from 734bp downstream of the Pde1c stop codon to 1411bp downstream of the CycY stop codon and the other is 988bp and extends from 1955bp downstream of the CycY stop codon to the first noncoding exon of crol.

Affected Genes Inferred by Location (0)
If no genes are listed here, it may be because the affected region is very large. The JBrowse insert above may show an error for the same reason, and other FlyBase tools such as CytoSearch may also fail for large regions. You can contact FlyBase for more help.
In these cases, there will be no "Export to Hitlist" button to the left.
    Phenotypic Data
    In combination with other aberrations

    Inferred to overlap with: Df(2L)Exel6030.

NOT in combination with other aberrations

Homozygous Df(2L)CycYE8 mutants produce no viable adults.

Homozygous Df(2L)CycYE8 mutants display two major lethal phase during metamorphosis. The early lethal phase is between pupal stages P3 and P5. The late lethal phase of homozygous Df(2L)CycYE8 mutants is between pupal stages P14 and P15.

Homozygous Df(2L)CycYE8 mutants show metamorphosis defects including the failure of proper gas bubble translocation, failed head eversion, and the failure of proper leg elongation. In addition, pupae of Homozygous Df(2L)CycYE8 mutants are small in weight and length. Homozygous Df(2L)CycYE8 mutants mutants exhibit delayed larval development and puparium formation.

About 40 % of the eggs produced by female germ-line mutant clones of Df(2L)CycYE8 exhibit fused dorsal appendages.

The majority of maternal and zygotic Df(2L)CycYE8 mutant embryos fail to hatch.
