Comments

Estimated location of a 1416bp deletion resulting from the imprecise excision of P{EP}qsmEP2587 that removes the whole "mir310s" cluster leaving the flanking genes intact. It was not specified if the P element removed sequences in one or both directions from the insertion site.

Affected Genes Inferred by Location (0)
If no genes are listed here, it may be because the affected region is very large. The JBrowse insert above may show an error for the same reason, and other FlyBase tools such as CytoSearch may also fail for large regions. You can contact FlyBase for more help.
In these cases, there will be no "Export to Hitlist" button to the left.
    Phenotypic Data
    In combination with other aberrations
NOT in combination with other aberrations

Df(2R)Dm310s mutant flies produce eggs with deformed dorsal appendages (shorter with smaller paddle regions) and strongly reduced hatchability compared to wild-type eggs. Df(2R)Dm310s males have reduced fertility (assayed under sperm-depletion conditions). All these phenotypes can be rescued by combination with either P{UAS-miR310s} or P{UAS-Dp310s.Dpse}, constructs carrying the 'Dm310s' mir cluster (mir-310, mir-311, mir-312 and mir-313 under UAS control) or the 'Dp310s' mir cluster from Drosophila pseudoobscura (Dpse mir-310, mir-311 and mir-312 under UAS control), respectively, although the fertility rescue with P{UAS-Dp310s.Dpse} is only partial.

Homozygous Df(2R)Dm310s flies do not display any detectable reduction in viability compared to wild-type controls. Female fecundity of homozygous Df(2R)Dm310s flies is decreased compared to controls.
