Male recombination between P{lacW}GclmL0580 and P{GT1}CG45049BG02691 in trans. The majority of intervening genomic DNA as well as the P-element DNA is likely deleted - genomic DNA flanking each P-element is intact up to the insertion site, beyond which it matches P-element sequences: only 30bp of P-element sequence remains, which corresponds to the a 15bp inverted repeat identical to one half of the terminal repeat sequence.
