Imprecise excision of the progenitor P{PTT-GB}bocks^CB03586 insertion, resulting in a deletion that extends upstream from the original insertion site at +11 in bocks (this results in a lack of bocks protein expression in the mutant). The deletion removes the first promoter of the upstream CG8312 gene. CG8312 RNA levels are reduced in mutant larvae.
