Approximately 4.4kb deletion that removes the scyl loop anchor (LA), a region overlapping two DNase hypersensitive sites that is a few kilobases upstream of scyl. The scyl transcription unit (including its promoter) is intact. Sequence encoding a single loxP site and a single attP site is present in place of the deleted sequence.
