First instar larvae exhibit lateral dots (a paired structure found in A1 segment of wild type) in abdominal segment A2 to A5 and rarely in A6.

Embryo transformations reveal partial abd-A function (FBrf0049558).

Hemizygous epidermal cell clones show extreme adult transformations, all abdominal segments are affected. Parasegments 7 to 9 show a weak transformation towards parasegment 6.
