      al8/Df(2L)al flies are poorly viable (1% survival). Survivors have reduced aristae, a very broad thorax, arched wings and incomplete veins. The eyes are increased in size.

      1% survival in combination with Df(2L)al. Hemizygous survivors have reduced aristae, broad thorax, arched wings with incomplete veins, enlarged eyes.
